General Contractor building Turnkey Homes including Post and Beam Timber Frame Homes

Starting with your rough floor plan, we can design your home and take it to completion, ready for you to move in.

It starts with a design that suits your life style. We incorporate energy efficient materials and products whever possible. We adapt a plan to best suit your location. We do conventional framing designs as well as timber frames. If you already have plans, we will be happy to price them for you.

We mill all the trim and flooring, turn our balusters, build the stairs and make the cabinets.

For roofing, plumbing and electrical, we subcontract to dedicated tradespeople who know how to work with a timberframe.

We always use the same company to pour the foundation because it’s incredibly important to get it right, and they always do.

We even do the interior detailing such as painting and staining. Our decorator can work with you to select colours, if you wish, and will let you know how they look once they are on the walls.

We keep our clients updated with weekly pictures on the progress of their home via digital photos and e-mail.

Costs

With basic, good quality finishes, the cost of building a timberframe house starts at $200 per sq. ft. of floor area. Custom finishes – tiles, choice of wood species, flooring, etc. – can add to that price.

Typically, a timberframe house costs 15 - 20% more to build than a conventionally framed house of the same size. For that price, however, you’re getting a custom-built house that will last many lifetimes. You're also getting the look and feel that only a timberframe home can provide.
