We are renovating an old 50-acre farm in Maitland. The new owners want
to return it to its original purpose as a working farm with horses as
the main theme. The property was in a state of disrepair, so we have
our work cut out for us!
We are also refurbishing the old barn to accommodate horses.

The mason, Reid Langille, is rebuilding the fireplace from the original
granite stone base.

The house sits high on a hill, surrounded by barns and outbuildings.

We have removed the hand-hewn rafters and stored them, as they are going
to be incorporated into the new second storey. We are reusing as much
of the original material as we can.

Next, the trusses.
